Speaking

Theology that strengthens leadership. Leadership shaped by sound theology.

I speak with churches, leadership teams, universities, and media platforms navigating complex cultural and theological questions. My aim is not to inflame debate, but to strengthen clarity, integrity, and faithful witness in any public setting.

I affirm LGBTQ+ inclusion in the church, including covenantal same-sex marriage. I hold a high view of Scripture and the historic creeds, and I speak with honesty and restraint. My goal is not to win culture-war points, but to help people read faithfully, lead with integrity, and care for people well.

Topics

Hermeneutics Before Headlines

Church leaders, pastors, theological students

How we read Scripture determines what we believe, how we disciple, and how we lead. This session equips leaders to approach difficult cultural questions with historical context, covenant awareness, and Christ-centered interpretation after establishing a passage's original meaning.

  • Understand foundational hermeneutical principles
  • Distinguish meaning from application
  • Identify common interpretive shortcuts
  • Lead with theological clarity under pressure

Scripture, Covenant, and Christian Sexual Ethics

Church leaders, students, mixed-conviction communities

A guided study in how to read the key texts often cited in the sexuality conversation, with attention to language, context, canon, and the ethical aims of Scripture.

  • Establish what the text is saying before modern application
  • Map common interpretive assumptions on both sides
  • Connect sexual ethics to covenant faithfulness and discipleship
  • Practice charitable, text-grounded disagreement

Faithful Leadership in Contested Conversations

Church leadership teams, ministry staff, Christian organizations

When conversations around sexuality, culture, and doctrine intensify, leadership integrity matters. I speak as someone who affirms covenantal same-sex marriage while taking Scripture seriously and engaging disagreement without contempt. This session explores how theological depth strengthens courage, humility, and long-term trust.

  • Lower emotional temperature in polarized settings
  • Lead without sacrificing conviction
  • Protect both truth and people
  • Build cultures of thoughtful disagreement

Covenant, Identity, and Discipleship

Churches, conferences, retreat gatherings

Identity questions have theological weight. This session examines covenant identity, spiritual formation, and the role of the church in shaping resilient disciples.

  • Clarify biblical identity categories
  • Strengthen discipleship frameworks
  • Connect theology to lived faith
  • Cultivate durable spiritual formation

Not here to stir outrage. Here to rebuild the framework people use to form beliefs.
